Thank you for your interest in becoming an advocate for healthy aging in Tarrant County! We depend on volunteers from the community to help at our Activity Centers, within our wellness programs and at our special events. With your help, we can achieve our goal of providing older adults in Tarrant County the knowledge they need to age with independence and purpose.

Please contact our office to learn more about the many opportunities available to volunteer as an individual or a group at 817-413-4949 ext 211.

Meal Program
Twice per month, the community is invited to provide lunch at one of our activity centers.

Adopt-A-Center Program
For one year, groups can adopt their neighborhood Activity Center to provide assistance with a variety of needs ranging from weeding flower beds to hosting bingo parties for the participants.

Socks & Soap Drive
The Activity Centers serve participants from a variety of economic backgrounds. Many of our participants are in need of household items and toiletries. We encourage you to host a drive through your school, church or civic group for items like socks (any size), moisturizing soap, toilet tissue, facial tissue and dish soap.

Please call Gloria at 817-413-4949 ext. 211 for the most up-to-date needs list and to set up a drive with us.

Wellness Program Leaders
Two of our wellness programs are conducted by trained volunteers. Health for Me and A Matter of Balance are always looking for volunteers to teach these classes at our Activity Centers. Sponsored agency trainings and workshops are also available.

Benefits Enrollments
Our benefits enrollments program helps people in the community determine if they are eligible for benefits like prescription drug payments, medical care, food, and utility assistance. Volunteers help by providing screenings and enrollments.

Special Event Volunteers
We have several events throughout the year for our older adults, as well as fundraising events. We would love to have you help out with one of our events.
