Sixty & Better Presents the Aging Mastery Program®

Dec 9, 2016

Ten-Week Educational Program is Designed by the National Council on Aging.

Tarrant County residents ages 55 and over can take advantage of a ten-week health and wellness package. Classes will explore navigating longer lives, financial fitness, sleep, medication management, and the mastery of behaviors that lead to overall well-being. The Aging Mastery Program, developed by the National Council on Aging (NCOA), is offered locally by Sixty & Better (formerly Senior Citizen Services).

“In 2015, the NCOA reviewed the success of our A Matter of Balance falls-prevention program and we’re proud to have been one of only 8 organizations in the nation to have received a grant to offer this excellent program,” said Jerome H. Mosman, Chief Executive Officer of Sixty & Better.

Older adults can reap the benefits of this cutting-edge wellness program, which also focuses on healthy eating and hydration, physical activity, advance planning, healthy relationships, falls prevention, and community engagement.

“The goal is to empower older adults to make and maintain small but impactful changes,” said Christina Bartha, Director of Programs for Sixty & Better. “We are currently recruiting adults 55 and over to participate in The Aging Mastery Program.”
